In deze Zwitserse opener werd het peleton op de hellingen aan stukken gereten. Op die manier kregen we aan de streep een kopgroep van zo'n 20 man, waaronder Rebellin, Voigt, Figueras, Montcoutié, Zberg en Brochard. In de sprint trok Figueras aan het langste eind, voor Mirko Celestino en Giuseppe Palumbo.
