Liquigas intercontinental

The Liquigas Team is leaving to Germany and USA where will search to add new triumphs to his seasonal spoils, now at 28 victories. At the Vattenfall Cyclassics Hamburg, on 7th of Septmeber, will be stand out the names of Franco Pellizotti and Leonardo Bertagnolli, determinated to gain a place in the Italian team for the Varese Worlds Championship. The route has many climbs which will be favourable to their attitudes and will be useful to test the form when miss nearly three weeks at the world race. The two Italian riders will have near an expert and powerful team, leaded by the DS Mario Chiesa. At the roll call will answer Maciej Bodnar, Kjell Carlström, Mauro Da Dalto, Murilo Fischer, Aliaksandr Kuchynski and Frederik Willems.

From the 8 to the 14 of September, another Liquigas patrol will search the success on the other side of the ocean. The directeur sportif Stefano Zanatta will lead it in the Tour of Missouri, a competition born in 2007 which will across the Midwest for one thousand kilometres, divided in six road races and one individual time trial.

The couple of golden boys composed by Vincenzo Nibali and Roman Kreuziger will be the point of reference for the mountains stages and for the time trial, a kind of race where they already showed all their capabilities. Francesco Chicchi, in his best season as professional, will look for the sprint arrival. To help him, will be present the stageur Jacopo Guarnieri, born in 1987 and grown in Team 2000 Marchiol-Liquigas, where had already collected 10 success in road races this year. The line-up is completed by the other stageur Gianni Da Ros, at his second race with Liquigas jersey, and the Slovenian Matej Mugerli.
