Zeer populaire renner uit de beginjaren van de Italiaanse wielersport. Hij kon sprinten, tijdrijden en vooral bergaf rijden. De Eerste Wereldoorlog verpestte veel voor deze man. Stierf onverwachts tijdens een heelkundige ingreep in een hospitaal. Zijn vele supportes bleven hem trouw. Zij gaven zijn naam aan een mooie wedstrijd in zijn geboortedorp Lissone, de Coppa Agostini, een koers die een grote reputatie heeft, een semi-klassieker. Results
