1, Poland National Team
Formerly known as the pro-continental team Intel Action, because 2008 was the Olympics they were reformed this year as the Polish National Team.  Last year’s riders were

By points, the Polish National Team is currently ranked 4th both in Europe and in the world.

2, Ukraine National Team

The Ukraine National Team is ranked 12th in Europe and 16th in the world.

3, Chinese Taipei

Chinese Taipei is ranked 17th in Asia and 87th in the world.  They participated at the second Tour of Hainan and have also been to the Tour of Qinghai Lake and many other races in Asia.

4, Malaysia National Team
Although ranked 50th in the world, Malaysia is one of the stronger Asian teams coming in at 6th place.  Malaysia also hosts the Tour de Langkawi, one of the two 2.HC event on the Asia Calender.

5, Swiss National Team

Switzerland is a very strong team ranked 18th in Europe and 29th in the world.  They participated at the 2nd Tour of Hainan.

6, Russian National Team

Russia comes in 7th in Europe and 7th in the world.  At last year’s Tour of Hainan, although they did not get the yellow jersey their team took many of the smaller prizes and ended up with the largest sum of prize money among the participating teams.

7, Kazakhstan National Team

Although ranked 42nd in the world, Kazakhstan is another very strong team in Asia, coming in 4th.  They participated at the first Tour of Hainan.

8, Danish National Team
Regularly participating at the Tour of Qinghai Lake, the Danish National team is best known for their skill as track cyclists.  Their track team took silver at the Beijing Olympics.  They are ranked 13th in Europe and 19th in the world.

9, Chinese National Team

Jin Long, Ji Cheng and Li Fuyu are three exeptionally strong Chinese riders who have been riding professionally in Europe for such teams as Marco Polo, Skil Shimano, and Discovery Channel.  Li Fuyu was the first Chinese rider to sign a contract with a UCI ProTour team.  Zhang Liang attended the Beijing Olympics.

China is ranked 5th in Asia and 48th in the world.

10, Hong Kong Team
The Hong Kong team is very strong and includes such riders as Huang Jinbao who once took the title of world champion in road racing.

For 2008 Hong Kong is ranked 11th in Asia and 65th in the world.

11, Jelly Belly

A continental team from the US, Jelly Belly has previously raced at the Tour of South China Sea and the Tour of Qinghai Lake.  They are currently ranked 115th in the world.

12, Trek Marco Polo Cycling Team
Marco Polo Cycling is the first continental team registered in China.  Made up of a mix of Chinese and European riders the goal of Marco Polo is to further develop cycling as a high level sport in China and to develop the potential of Chinese riders.  Li Fuyu rode with Marco Polo before being signed by Discovery Channel.  They are ranked 73rd in the world.

13, Tabriz Petrochemical Team
Tabriz Petrochemical is the strongest team in Asia.

14, Giant Asia Racing
Ranked 92nd in the world, Giant Asia Racing is one of the oldest continental teams registered in Asia.  They have been to both editions of the Tour of Hainan as well as many editions of the Tour of Qinghai Lake, Tour of South China Sea and so on.

15, Polygon Sweet Nice

Polygon Sweet Nice from Indonesia is ranked 134th in the world.

16, Cosmote Kastro

Cosmote Kastro from Greece is currently ranked 71st in Europe and 93rd in the world.

17, Cycle Collstrop

Cycle Collstrop comes from the Netherlands, a country long known for a strong cycling tradition.  They are ranked 23rd in the world.

18, Sparkasse

Our team leaders are Dirk Müller, who has already won two stage races in Europe, the Cinturon Mallorca and the GP Sochi (this race will be a Pro Tour race next year), he is 25th in the UCI Europe Tour Ranking (15.08.08) and Eric Baumann, who has has ridden for Team T-Mobile last year. He has won two UCI races this year, Sparkassen Giro Bochum (UCI 1.1) and Praha-Karlovy Vary-Praha (UCI 1.2) and he is 20th in the UCI Europe Tour Ranking (15.08.08).

We also have Darren Lapthorne, the Australian Pro Road Champion 2007 ans Andreas Schillinger last years German Pro Mountain Champion in our team.

This year our team has gained 25 victories so far.
